In this Good Friday reflection, Paul considers the suffering of Jesus in light of Dietrich Bonhoffer’s hymn “We go to God when we are sorely pressed”.
We go to God in our suffering, and God comes to us in God’s suffering. The story of Jesus crucifixion is read from the gospel of Matthew by members of the congregation.
